The Company

NL Commercials is a family owned vehicle rental company, we have been supplying vehicle hire solutions to our customers for over 38 years. NL originally dates back to 1985 when Nigel Lella first purchased the Rouse Mill Lane site in Batley, West Yorkshire. Nigels Mum & Dad helped finance the purchase by re-mortgaging their family home to raise enough money to purchase the property.

Originally the company was a vehicle repair centre, carrying out repairs on anything from cars to trucks, Nigel would also sell a few vehicles on the small forecourt. As the workshop got busier and busier, customers would start asking for a loan vehicle while their vehicle was off the road. This is when Nigel saw the hole in the market and stepped in, we supplied our very first official rental vehicle in 1989. From humble beginning NL is now the largest Independent rental company in the North of England, supplying over 3000 vehicles Nationally.

As a family business, we pride ourselves on the quality of our service which is second to none. We've not only built up a wealth of knowledge in the lease hire world, but we’ve forged a reputation for great value and unwavering customer care, too.
